Purchased in Zimbabwe
Nanga Head in butter jade by Amon Chikumbirike and a Rhino in black Serpentine by unknown artist
Both pieces were purchased from the craft market in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. I then purchased two pieces of upholstery foam, cut out relief shapes of each sculpture, and sandwiched the sculptures between the two pieces of foam. The foam was then taped securely together to provide protection for the pieces as they travelled across southern Africa in a bumpy overlander truck. The foam cushioning worked perfectly.
